In Malawi as little as 38% of children ages six to 13 complete primary school according to UNICEF. In the U.S. that would be the equivalent of 8th grade.  Only 5.1 million children ages six to 13 are enrolled in school in a population of 21.4 million.  UVT is attempting to change this number one village at a time. Our first primary school block was constructed in 2017 with 100 children enrolled in year (grade) 1. Currently UVT Primary school has 410 children enrolled in years 1 through 4 and 8 teachers employed from 23 adjoining villages.
